So now you can go back to work? I really hate to stand in the way of anyone who needs to get work done, no matter what kind of work it is.

Ross, great plants!! I really like your Tamakongo. The Dendrobium oligophyllum looks great - but I am drooling over that Hakuunryu - how cute!!

One of the advantages of having wait until June for my plants is that I can keep adding ones!! I may just add that Den! (But now I've got to go through the whole list of Dens as well!!)

The Hakuunryu is really different. Even if I never get it to bloom, the leaves are really neat - kinda like a jewell orchid. There is no red on the margins (yet) as shown on NWO site. I believe there are several other varigated or marked Dens. The pot was fully stuffed with roots as I discovered when I unpotted it. I recommend pulling the Dens from the pots and checking the condition of the sphagnum. Just a thought.

I've got it narrowed down to 4 or 5 different ones... I'll let you know what I finally decide on!

Benikomachi - Leaves streaked with cream, yellow or pink centrally, white flowers with red on lip. New pseudobulbs bright yellow.
Kurobotan ** - Black Peony - yellow streaks and green on heavy, wide leaves. 5"
Mangetsu ** - Pink flowers, rounded leaf with yellow & red picotee. 2"
Raizan ** - Thunder Mountain - Bright pink flowers, very fragrant6"-8".
Yuten - Round green leaves with red and white streaks.

Default Neofinetia Mini Project Cultural tips

I'm starting this thread because I think there are several here who have lots to contribute for us regarding our new purchases. I'm a greenhorn when it comes to Neos and now have a bunch of money invested in them with very little knowledge.

I'm looking for contributions regarding watering, fertilizing, light, air movement, repotting (or mounting tips), etc. Anyone want to start?

I love yours Al! I think you're right about just getting one. It definately makes it much easier to spoil and pamper it! I really like the pot you set it in. It looks very elegant!
