those were pretty cool. i would have never thought to use a bottle or a pot to create an air cavity in the center of the moss ball. very interesting. thank you

I'm curious to see everyone's before and after shots of their plants...how many of you are planning on potting and how many are planning on mounting?

Just one thing I found when I did this recently... Make sure you use a non-porous object for the form. A glass bottle works really well. I also tried using a spare terracotta pot, and the moss just stuck to the pot and wouldn't come off cleanly, keeping its shape; so I had to re-do the whole thing!!
