It needs cool temperatures more than it needs bright light.

Hi
I'm also new to the zygo hybrids. I have 3 phals mine seem to be doing good. My new one came with an incorrect tag it read dendrobium nobile. So all the feedback after posting pics concenus was a zygo hybrid. Mine is on my coffee table in my living room upstairs I live in Medford Oregon where we experience over 100° summer days usually a dry heat. I do have air conditioning. I'm also totally out of my comfort zone cause its such a gorgeous orchid that smells amazing. I going to attempt to repot after all the blooms are gone. Can I repot like I repot my phals? Unfortunately I can't see the roots I know there fragile do I treat the roots the same as my phals? Cut off dead ones etc? It's a learning adventure. Thank you I appreciate any advice you can give me. Wish I knew what kind of hybrid it is.....B |
I don't grow them because it's too hot here. Use the Search feature in the maroon menu above. Look up posts containing Zygo by user jcec1.

How'd I do with your name? I do have the accent mark. Thank you I will do that. Is there a zygo maxillaria hybrid? Both species look amazingly like mine. Friday I get my mothers day gift from my 3 daughter's they all went in a got me an iPhone. I'm hoping the pictures are a lot better. Thanks again I value your time in your reply......B |
