Wow Matt, you’re on a roll! I find there are a few of these miniature Maxillaria that are very similar. I recently purchased a Maxillaria juergensii and it definitely looks like your plant here.
I did a quick search for nardoides and I found juergensii shown as a synonym. When I search for juergensii, I don’t find the same information. I’m so confused:/
Anyway they are way too cool and I am happy to have them. Apparently you are as well.

This is an appealing plant. I think part of the problem for plants like this one is they were originally known as “Christonella”. But some horticulturalist decided to lump this in with Maxillaria. Maxillaria undulata was a Christonella. I’m not sure but it seems the plant’s that were Christonella are the ones that don’t look like Maxillaria tenuifolia. The ones that look like tenuifolia were always known as “Maxillaria”.
Thank you Dolly. I meant to provide the measurement of the wood mount: 5” wide x 6” tall.
Mattwolfson, these are not my cup of tea, just a matter of taste...but, Id like to say that I am in awe of your growing skills, knowledge, and tasteful display. Your plants and posts are always enviable! This is just another example of your fine technique. Thank you so much for posting!
