Heterotaxis valenzuelana
This is a Maxillaria! And it is getting ready to bloom. It is larger than some of my most recent Maxillaria acquisition—longest leaf is about 6” from base to leaf tip. It comes from Central America. It likes warm temperatures, bright shade and lots of relative humidity, fresh moving air.

Oh! I like this one, looks a bit like a Podangis dactyloceras.

Yes it does look like a Podangis dactyloceras. Except this grows upside down. I hope the flower doesn’t blast on me.

Sadly, the flower blasted. I should not have taken it from it’s pot and mounted it. But, now I know it is bloom sized so it will bloom again
When it was in its pot. It was on its side and took up a lot of room. Hanging it was more convenient.

Aww, what a shame it blasted. Hopefully it will adjust to the new mount and bloom again. It certainly is an interesting Maxillaria!
