I've gotta bloom! Male
Default I've gotta bloom!

My Max tenuifolia has a bloom! [I know, you're probably thinking ... "UH dude. Chill. Those things bloom w/ ease."] I really didn't know if I was going to be able to get it to bloom -- I've had it over a yr now I think. I have no doubt that my conditions are less than ideal.

Mine seems "cuppier" than the ones I usually see pictured but it does have the characteristic coconut/suntan lotion fragrance.

(Please forgive the "twist tie" -- I'm trying to coax an errant root to grow into the moss.)

Much to my surprise, today I discovered that I have another bud well on the way and I think another trying to form!

Actually I just got one a few months ago that is a division, so I don't expect it to bloom anytime soon

Paul, is this a hi light guy? I think I really need one like yours (one that blooms). I don't have this guy yet, but maybe this spring?
