If you have a moment, please explain "glass culture" to me. It appears that your plastic pot is in a vase of media. Is this correct?

The plant is drop dead gorgeous as us your photography! Thanks for posting.

You have to go to RJSquirrel's past posting on this culture. I just followed his instructions. It entails a glass vase, filled up 2/3 with clay pellets and on top of it is moss. Fill the vase with water on the clay pellet level just enough to moisten the moss and in turn the moss will moisten the plastic pot though the hole for the roots of the plant. I do not have to water often just to make sure the level of the water stay constant.

Kind of like a capillary mat. Interesting.

We're way off topic. Bulbos are wanderers, so the glass method wouldn't work for very long.

I've had some success growing Bulbos in shallow, wide food containers with holes on the sides, not the bottoms. This forms a reservoir. I put a layer of LECA balls on the bottom, and top with sphagnum moss. The reservoir keeps the moss very moist. My inspiraton came from Bill Thoms, who wrote the book on Bulbos. He grows his in baskets with a mound of foam peanuts in the center, and a blanket of sphagnum overlying this. Some of his baskets he has to stand in dishes of water since they use so much water.

Bill Thoms spoke at the last meeting of our OS. He suggested using the shallow lid of a food container, like the top of a tub of margarine, as a water saucer for bulbos. Just enough water, not too much.
