Maxillaria schunkeana clean up.

I've had this Maxillaria schunkeana for a very long time already. Probably since 2004 or 2005, I just don't remember anymore.

After many years of neglect, I finally gathered my resolve and decided to not give in to laziness or feeling tired and clean this baby up.

This plant has given me so much joy for many, many years. It blooms all the time during random times of the year.

I love how the flowers look like tiny Darth Vader helmets. Haha!

Just flowered a month ago. Right now, there are no blooms.

I got a few divisions during the clean up.

I grow these outdoors all year round.
