I got this little guy from someone who liquidated their collection about a year ago and I think its the only member of this group I've ever grown. General care tips are most appreciated!!

I have a few Pescatorea and related hybrids. Just minutes ago I sprung and bought this same clone online because the relatives I have are doing pretty well.

They are water hogs. Don't let them get even near dry. If they get too dry, the leaves and new growths turn brown, and die, in a way that makes you think they're rotting. They're not; they got too dry.

They don't seem to demand high humidity if I keep them wet. They weren't damaged with relative humidity in the 30%-40% range. Most of the time now they're higher.

I have put all mine into semi-hydroponics because I can more easily keep them wet that way.

Ok, I had a feeling these guys liked to be kept wet. I potted it in larger grade bark because I felt the smaller stuff was keeping it too wet. I'll let this batch of roots grow in and add a bit of spag on top to keep things around the roots more humid. Thanks for the tip!

I almost killed my first Pescatorea, which came in large bark, because I couldn't keep up with the watering.
