Hi

What is it? Can anyone tell me what is it? It's my first maxillaria. Is it spike or new bulb?

It looks like a new bulb.

Buds are less pointy; it is more of an oval shape.

I have had one of these for many years and I doubt I will ever be able to guess when mine will bloom. I can look at it one day and be certain it isn't going to bloom any time soon and then a few days later, smell that coconut scent. Hopefully the new growth will not only have bulbs but also pop a flower for you!
