Lycaste Reverend Canon Mari
This is my first Lycaste and I really love the flowers and need to get more! I won this one as a raffle prize at our June meeting. I had never seen one in the flesh before. it had four flowers. Now it has 8 flowers/buds. The flower stems are a little weak, hence the staking. It came from our speaker, Graham Wood, of Lehua Orchids.
It appears from the preview that the picture (and not just Flickr link) came out this time - my next challenge will be to attach more than one photo - thanks for all the help, everyone. I am very technologically challenged!

It is very pretty. I was expecting to read a sermon though. Lol What is the story behind the name?

It was named for the mother of the grower's godson, according to his website.

Gorgeous! If they didn't go so large...I'd have more Lycaste. I especially love the reds and yours is really nice. Good growing!
