Some 3 months ago I received from Marlow a Lyc. Dainty(cambellii x candida) not in bloom or spike but semi-deciduous. My first endeavor of the genus and all I could do was read about it. Saw the fellow at a show last wkend and asked what to do. Said to keep it somewhat drier and under my growlights was good. Still has 2 leaves on it. Pbulbs should not shrivel too much. I would email them for more help as I don't think I was much assistance to you.

I don't grow Lycastes yet, but I recall from reading they have definite wet / dry seasons and many are deciduous. I agree with DeaC, you need to contact the vendor Monday.

Go back to Marlow's website; find the listing for your plant and click on it. He gives cultural info.

Good idea. It's now sold out, so gone from the regular Lycaste section. But when I used the search function on Lycaste candida I found it.

When I was looking for Ansellia information, I came across CalOrchids. They also grow Lycastes and have cultural information.

Cal-Orchid Inc.

Click on Our Products and the on Lycastes.
