At least it's doing something now!!!
I'm discovering that this plant needs LOTS of water while the new growths mature. I've been watering it a lot more than my other orchids, but the new growths are still horribly pleated.

hmmm......maybe because its getting more water through rain and me watering more, its broken dormancy ? I will have to make sure it continues to be regularly watered.

Congrats, that's a very happy achievement. For me Proms are a bit tricky that's for sure. A division I got last year still hasn't done anything and my silvana took so long to open its bloom I thought it was actually going to blast. Now it's open but not completely (will share pics soon) unless I just don't know how these blooms should look.
Cheers to your new growth!

6 growths in total. 4 of these are from 2 pbulbs.
I still don't know what I have done right or wrong; it would be great to get input from other growers. I have a feeling that come Winter its going to be downhill. I don't mind a challenge...but...

Did it get too dry at one point, that can be a death sentence for the leaves (killed mine that way!). A good steady amount of moisture during growth is the key, I think. Looks like it is ready to move forward now with all those wonderful growths now. Good luck with it. Keep us posted with the progress.

Awesome progress, especially multiple growths from one! For such small plants Proms do seem to offer up a challenge. The 'Chameleon' I mentioned was repotted and then it lost its leaves...:/...Hope it's just the leaves. Meanwhile Xanthina also repotted is looking to lose a leaf while the other two are fine but it has couple new growths as do my other two.
Mine are kind of all in different lights. Maybe I've said before but silvana I've kept in fairly bright (Zygo happy) light and it bloomed for me recently (attempted a cross that failed so no more bloom).

Maybe I just can't grow these. It reminds me of bulbophyllums, another group that commits suicide when I am around. I will keep at it though, though not
doing that much other than watering regularly.

Nice to see something happening though! I'm also thinking that I just can't grow these. Mine was great until about 2 months ago, though many of the new growths were pleated. I water it a lot, but obviously still not enough. Now mine has rot (leaves and bulbs turn brown and mushy) though I always water it from below. Looks like it's going to die the same way my previous Prom died.

Bummer that these are so tricky! Best of luck to you both...and everyone else with Proms, myself included.
