At today's OS meeting, there was this one particularly cute orchid on the raffle table that caught my eye, but I didn't win. But it was some sort of Maxillaria, and the bulbs/leaves looked like a tenuifolia, except very tiny. It wasn't a tenuifolia, but I don't remember the name. Any ideas on Maxillarias that look like a miniature tenuifolia?
The best thing to do is to email the president of the Orchid Society and ask what it was. They can always ask around for you and let you know.
I don't know much about the group as I just have two of them but I found this site:
Very happy to hear you have some possibilities. When it blooms, you should have an easier time identifying it.
I don't have it (my ticket didn't win because the raffle guy jinxed me by pointing out that I frequently win, lol); I just wanted to get an idea of what it might be so I could buy one whenever I feel like spending the money.
Yes, you did mention that. I would still email one of the officers at the OS and see if you can get the name. You might just end up with a free one. Some of these orchid people are really, really nice.
