This orchid promises to put on quite a show once it's mature, but for now this baby put out 3 spikes for its first blooming. There was no way to take a photo with more than 1 bloom in it, since the 3 spikes are evenly spaced around the pot...
That's beautiful! I have several that I got right around the same time, however they have yet to bloom. Xanthina is one but its a small division and hasnt done much of anything.
How do you care for yours? Thanks for sharing and good growing!
Not sure I can share many growing tips since this is my first Promenaea and I've had it for 6 months... It gets bright indirect light with a little bit of sun and a lot of water. It's potted in bark and I water through the top and leave some water sitting in the saucer for 2-3 days and then let it dry out. So far it seems to like the care it gets and aside from the spikes it's also putting out a bunch of new growths. Hope I can keep it happy and healthy!
