Hi, oh my I think I finally found out what my type orchid I have. I bought a trader Joe's the tag read dendrobium nobile. Up till now I had only phals. This was between my birthday and mothers day. There was walls of orchids mine was the only one that wasn't a phal. I really want to find out what kind so I can care for her proper. The first one of your orchid looks like Its a clone off mine or visa versa. What do you think? Thanks for solving my obsession.

Yes they look similar - mine was an unnamed plant - but does well in a west facing window, watered twice a week and not allowed to dry out. They are quite easy as long as they don't get too hot in which case the leaves may get black spots on them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my cries of frustrations. Would mine be considered a no name plant? The trader Joe's tag was incorrect. Could please tell me what to research under (species)? I want to learn about this type. Besides my phals what alliance should I lean to?lol I appreciate and value the time you took to reply. Dollythehun left a reply told me to search you I owe a big Thank you to both of you.....B

A plant with no name tag, or an incorrect name tag, is called a NOID, for NO IDentification.

We're pretty sure it's a hybrid of Zygpetalum, and perhaps related genera, and not a species. Hybrids of Zygopetalum can pretty much all be grown the same, and jcec1 has provided some suggestions. You can read even more about Zygopetalums in the Maxillaria forum.
