Default Zygonisia Murasakikomachi Care ?

Ok I bought this orchid at Trader Joes. It looked healthy and happy smelled nice I loved the leaves. The flowers were different like no other orchid I have seen.

I bought it. after some searching I am pretty sure it's a Zygonisia Murasakikomachi. I read this is a hybrid of Zygonisia Roquebrune x Aganisia cyanea.

I am having a hard time finding info on how to care for this plant. I read they like lots of water more then other orchids some people are saying they like it warm others say cold. I don't know I try to search and most of the sights are in a Asia language.

Here is the plant. Anyone know for to care for this plant and I need to do. I do not plan on repotting it because it looks healthy and happy. But it looks to be planted in some type of Peat dirt? This is my rarest orchid and I know so little about it. When I saw it I had to have it.

JEALOUS! I've come across this plant in the registry but couldn't find pics so I'm so grateful you shared this...and maybe a little bit envious...

I just picked up Roquebrune in bloom a couple months ago and am happy for it. It's still pretty new to me so mostly I just wanted to congratulate you on finding this plant. I have discovered with the Zygolum (Zygosepalum x Zygopetalum) I've had longest (only 7 months now) that they like a fair amount of water and rather bright light. I also just picked up Aganisia cyanea but still very much in the learning process with it so I'll have to check out that link OrchidsAreFun gave you.

Thanks for sharing, it's very beautiful.

Thanks. I had a feeling this was a special plant one I would regret not getting. I love to water my plants so that's not a problem I soaked it today for 3 mins.

I have it in an east facing window that's gets a little direct morning sun. It is near my heater vent. I am afraid that the cold temp of Tahoe will effect the plant . I read these might like warmer weather. Here in the winter my house is 65F in the day and 60F at night. It's also very dry average is 40% humidity in my home thanks to large fish tanks. I am thinking of getting a humidifier for my living room for myself and my plants.

I have had good luck so far with a few different kinds fingers crossed this one will work for me. It looks to be a really healthy plant.

With the pbulbs on this plant, I have assumed oncidum culture. The leaves are thinner though, like Coelogyne and I am curious if these need a winter rest or not. If so, I'm not sure I will be so successful with this plant.
