Max. tenuifolia: Root or Spike? Male
Default Max. tenuifolia: Root or Spike?

Just noticed this on my tenuifolia, and it's definitely not the start of a new pseudobulb, so it must be a root or a spike. It's the light green nub about dead center of the pic. Anyone?

Sorry, I can't see what you want us to assess.... I can tell you that the Max tenuifolia flowers appear from the base of the pblubs and are appearing on mine now. So maybe....

It's definitely in the right place on the plant to be a spike. I guess time will tell...,,,,

I'm not sure what we're looking at either. Flower spikes bust out from the sheathing below psuedobulbs. FWIW I've never seen any roots above the top of the media on my tenuifolia.
