Those roots like my Gomesa crispa.... wanting to go all over the place and branching like crazy. I finally moved my Gomesa into a teak basket with very large chunks of bark for the roots to grow through - there was no point trying to keep it in a pot! I water it every day, and it dries out in a couple of hours. In warmer weather, I will mist it in the afternoon as well - but not this time of year when it gets dark so early.

Thank you very much, Mauro. I'm going to shift the plant today into a small basket and with a coarser mix. Wish me luck!

Susanne... Oak Hill also carries them as mounted specimens.

I yanked mine off of that mount and placed it on some oak bark with jute rope and a bit of the sphagnum it came with. Misting roughly daily and weak fertilizer once a week with a wash down.
