Lycaste lasioglossa
I took over this plant 3 months ago in bad shape- fallen apart into 2 plantlets, new bulbs significantly smaller than the previous ones, leave spots, insects- hoping for better days and good fertilizing in the next growth cycle. I'll leave it in the mix until spring.
This species comes from Mexico and bordering countries to the south. It needs only a slight winter rest, not so harsh as for the spiny yellow Lycastes. Reportedly it should be easy to grow.
Here is the plant's immediate reward. No scent noticed so far.
