Zyginisia Cynosure ‘Blue Water Sailing’
Gorgeous flowers! It must be very fragrant in that area. The seed pods are large.

UhOH. I have a very similar one that's NoID. I posted about it recently, and received several good responses to my "not sure what the heck this is... but it sure is pretty."

Ummmm, I'm thinking I shouldn't have cut off the spike when it finished blooming. One gets seed pots on these?!? {{sigh}} so much to learn.

Bud - I haven't corrected the name because I realised that this specific hybrid has a patent pending. I wonder if this qualifies it for a var ? Unfortunately at the time the flowers were not that fragrant, but one man's fragrance is another man's no smell at all.
Waterw - I have seedpods because I manually pollinated the blooms. It is correct to cut the spike as these do not rebloom or grow another spike from an old stem, like some phals do.

just copy your tag exactly as it is.... you are not to blame , the seller should have the correct name on the tag when they sell it....

I did - the tag may be incorrect - unless the patent pending distinction qualifies this as a var. ( per Ray's explanations )

AhHa! And good. I knew it wouldn't re-bloom, but figured it was still an error. Thanks for the clarification, 'tis appreciated.

I watered today and noticed a potential 2nd spike - right next to the first one.
I LOVE this plant !!!

for interest's sake this is a photo of the first seed pod that was flasked on 10 May 2013 and a couple of seeds germinated - the green in the flask....

Make sure you get this var - I had an alba and it died despite exactly the same cultural conditions
