Glad to draw your interest.
Culture tips were given under Kefericzella Sua Mena and several Cochleanthes species here in the Maxillaria Alliance Forum. They have no decided rest period. Roots of Cochleanthes like to sit in a saucer filled with a few mm of water.

Just Beautiful!! I love the color on the lip! So, it sounds like they would probably enjoy s/h... Maybe in a somewhat shallower pot than normal... I thought about getting the Cochleanthes amazonica (spelling?) and putting it in semi/hydro, but its quite probably too hot here, to successfully grow these but, I might still experiment with one... Last I checked, Oak Hill had some great prices on amazonica...

s/h sounds like a good idea. Then a complete fertilizing scheme in low dose alternating with clear water must be applied. Cochleanthes have fleshy water storing roots. It is good to keep the roots well aerated, let them dry out a little bit between watering and don't not keep the roots too cold. A normal pot should do it.
Cochleanthes amazonica is a plant from the Amazon lowlands, growing under warm conditions, although it is temperature tolerant.

Island Girl- I got one of those amazonicas from Oak Hill and it is really thriving here on my windowsill. I am not sure that I have the right conditions to bloom it, though. For the price I thought, "Why not give it a try?"
