It's very satisfying to bring an orchid back from near death. I have a neighbour's rhynchostylis seeding that looks pathetic. The roots and leaves are almost gone but after soaking with seaweed and keeping it in a warm room, it has a new root. Mind you, it will likely be years before it recovers.
