Sorry to be so excited, but just had to share this with folks who I know would share my excitement!

I was watering my orchids today and I got around to my max. tenuifolia and I just grabbed it to go to the sink and I smelled a delicious smell like coconuts and I looked down and...I HAVE A BUD OPENING! I did not even know it was there!!! I had studied the pictures of this orchid on the forum and loosely tied threads around where I thought the bud might pop out and THERE IT IS!!!

Can you tell this is my first time blooming this?
I am ecstatic!!!

I know, they just sort of appear for me, too. I am really happy to hear the news as these are so cute and adorable! When my baby bloomed for the first times--one flower (the division was three bulbs), I took twenty pictures and used it as my screensaver... Yeah, I understand the excitement.

Oh yes...pictures. I will have to enlist the help of my tech-savvy family to do that. I will try to post later on and also see if my help can put on a picture of my paph delenatii alba.
