Ida jamesiorum
A fimbriate Lycaste -now Ida or Sudamerlycaste - from the Andes of Peru. It is closely related to cobbiana and trifoliata, but differs according to Oakeley by the shorter conical pseudobulbs with two leaves, the very faint keels on the callus and the large round flat deeply laciniate midlobe of the lip.
The plant is really small for the genus, and the ivory white flower is simply the most beautiful and delicate one that you can imagine.
