Scroll through this Maxillaria Alliance forum... there are several threads on the genus (and some hybrids with weird names... to tell which ones are Zygo hybrids you'll just have to look at the content) Note that there are several threads where is spelled "Zigo" ... that makes a problem when you try to search. If you just scroll through the list, as a human you can make connections that a computer with simple search algorithm. can't

"this orchid plant has a fine root system that is on the sensitive side….so easy on the repot. The fertilizer salt deposits must be flushed out regularly or just observe the tips of their leaves if it discolors.
I give this the Baker culture for all Zygos: medium to bright indirect light and intermediate temperatures, and I don’t let the temperature get too hot… most Zygos like the top inch of the mix to dry out–some usually refer to the pot as ‘approaching dryness’–the top will be dry but the rest of the mix will still have moisture. …but I don’t like to let this dry out that much so I water this liberally under the sink; keeping the mix evenly moist, not wet....my apartment has humidity issues....this is in a well-draining media mix 4 inches pot.....with the help of an electric humidifier with attached oscillating fan since air circulation is important….this orchid plant easily shows signs of stress(be very observant of the bulbs if shrinking)…..and as much as possible I don’t wet the leaves because it is thin and can easily get cold dark spots."

Within the Maxillaria Alliance forum (this one) scroll down the list. For instance, look at the threads with "Zigo" in the name... just misspelled. Note that the Maxillaria alliance contains a whole bunch of genera that are related, not obviously so. Like Zygopetalum, Lycaste, Anguloa, Cochleanthes, etc. etc. along with Maxillaria.

Our climates are different. But, I grow mine in a bright, not direct light. It's potted in moss and a clay pot (think cooler roots). I have a fan running near it and I water as it slightly dries out. There's lots of info in that forum because I asked a lot of questions.

The plant dictates the forum, not the grower. The plant IS in the Maxillaria family. I assume you are saying your conditions favor phalanopsis.

Hi, my knowledge favors phals and please don't get me wrong I love my phals. When I bought my zygo hybrid in the maxillaria family I wanted something more challenging more exotic. Be careful what one wishes for. Lol I couldn't find anything except here on maxillaria I know why I was misspelling it thank you I've got the correct spelling.....B I'm uploading a pic of one of my phals

You'll do fine, just remember, slightly brighter, cooler, and moister than a phal. That is a nice looking Phal.
