That's a very unusual tenuifoila there! The leaves look wider than the usual ones and the flower tips are yellow. Well done!

Thx for the advice. I have my max ten growing in sh and it is enjoying it so much that I fear the pot may crack. I use glass instead of plastic for several reasons. Anyway, the plant as a specimen is in every strange of growing BUT flowering. I grow under lights though I do simulate a change in seasons.

Default maxillaria ochroleuca

So here's my maxillaria ochroleuca in full bloom. It's sweet fragrance is not over powering, and gentle on the nose, reminds me of some little pink sweet, with a musk overtone that i just cant remember....

That Max ten is unusual: flowers (and scent) within normal parameters, but mine has very different leaves. I'm thinking it's possibly a hybrid. However if I were you I'd ask Micheal McIllmurray to have a look. I was talking to him a few months ago and he made a reference to having about 6 types of Max ten, so maybe yours is one of those?

Here's a link for you: Plant Heritage - National Collections Scheme, UK Garden Plants

Whatever, it's a very nice plant!

You seem to have the Maxillaria green thumb. May I ask what it means when the leaves of the plant turn yellow, then brown, and fall off? I have one pseudobulb that's turning brown but the rest seem fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreicated.

Beautiful Maxillarias. I love the yellow on the tenufolia and the ochroleuca looks like it's going crazy with blooms.
