Not necessarily viral. Check roots first before assuming the problem was caused by a disease. Living Max schunkeana roots look like dead roots, so don't be fooled. Look for brown or purple roots with yellow-green tips.
If the roots are fine, then it could be humidity related.
If the humidity is around 60% - 80%, at any given point during the day, then it would be an issue of the plant adjusting.
Next year may produce better blooming results. They adjust quickly!
