Default Maxillaria schunkeana

I finally got it to bloom, put it outside for the summer, the temperature differences probably helped
It is very dark burgundy, not exactly black, but so close!

Absolutely stunning, are maxillarias not just so amazing..... One of my favorite genera, already have a good variety and growing still.... Will be receiving a schunkeana in two weeks... Totally excited.......

They are very floriferous. There is actually no definite blooming season. They will bloom all year round whenever they see fit.

They're extremely hardy and easy to grow too. One of my favorite Maxillarias.
