First blooming for me, on a tiny plant. Only one bloom. No scent but a spectacular colour.

Should actually be lightly scented. I think mine was most fragrant late in the day after it had high a good level of sun. This is a really nifty flower!

You have a beautiful flower. There is a slight talcum powdery scent early in the morning to noon; it will have several flowers in the spike with bigger and brighter color on the next bloom cycle; this might give you flowers three to four times a year now that it has started flowering for you....my plant have also just bloomed a month ago and it has shed its last dried flower yesterday

Default update

this is an easy-to-grow plant, perfect for window-sill growers.
I cross-pollinated this flower and you can clearly see the seed pod developing. I have been told the zns would possibly be apomictic with the inter-generic pollen I used ( meaning basically that the zns would self-fertilise ), so it will be interesting to see if I have a seed capsule that will develop to maturity and will be viable.
