Would love to know what you are using as your growing media? I have a Lycaste Aromatica (small yellow blooms) which i need to repot soon

cbuchman - I am growing in clay pots with a 50/50 mix of Supersphag (ground New Zealand sphagnum moss) and perlite. It gets changed once a year.

Should Lycastes be re-potted annually? Hmmm that could explain a lot as I've been going 2-3 years between pottings

Not necessarily. I repot annually because of the sphagnum moss. If plants are kept too long in it they tend to decline.
