I just read on another website that Lycaste cruenta is now Selbyana cruenta. Is anyone familiar with this new (or maybe not so new) name change? If so, will you be kind enough to provide some details about when--and why--the change was made? What other species are included in the new genus name? Guess I need to start working on changing the labels in my pots. Thank you!
Kew still lists it as Lycaste cruenta, with Selbyana as a synonym. Tropicos doesn't even seem to include record of the Selbyana publication yet. Since I think AOS goes by Kew's WCSP, you're probably safe continuing to call it Lycaste for the time being.
