Zygonisia Blue Birds

Thought I would share both my happiness and frustration with this little one. Obviously you can't be dissapointed with blooms. But the buds took forever to develop and just before opening, started to show blackish/purple tips on each bud. It's almost like the tip of each bud died/failed to fully develop. You can see it at the tips of each bloom in the pic. Anyone have any ideas on this? I ask, because the 2 new growths coming both already show a spike starting to elongate! That's right, potentially 3 spikes! You know you want to raise the roof!
