Yesterday I made myself a present. I love these chids.
I don't know if it has an ID, but I don't really care about it. What matters is the beauty of it and the scent. I wish you could smell it on your screen. It's a very pleasant scent. I hope the new growths you see on the pics will bloom eventually and fill my living room with their parfume.

Beautiful!!! I love Zygos, but mine had no fragrance. It fell victim to rot, which is all to common with Zygos.

I asked the grower if it has an ID and he told me it's a Sent-Sation.

do you keep your zygo's outside during Summer ? I am trying this year but already am worried because we have had temps into the 90s f for a couple of days. I read somewhere that provided the temps are much lower at night, high day temps shouldn't be a problem. What is your experience ?

Last summer I had them outside in the shade of bigger plants. I had them on a saucer with leca and water to keep humidity high. I don't know what to do this year. Each time I put them outside, they get rained upon and they don't like this.

I have just got another Zygo as the last one I had ended up in the bin when I got fed up with my orchids many years ago -long story. Anyway, I have just got another one, barbel holn and I can't wait for the blooms on her as she is gorgeous! So is yours. Good luck.

nice flower and yes the smells are wonderful. I love zygos!!!

They dont like the leaves being left wet either. You have to water the pots not the plants and that stops the rot.

Also again note how the bulbs are above the media..Im going to keep reminding you until its 2nd nature for us all to keep our bulbs above the media ..
