You said this is second blooming - is it a bit reluctant to bloom?

No, it blooms quite freely, unlike Max tenuifolia. This is the second time blooming because it apparently takes a while for a tiny little seedling to get to blooming size!
When I said I got it as a small sized established seedling, I meant it. When I received this one, it was only anywhere around 1" tall, maybe 1 1/2" tall, (somewhere around 3 cm tall).

It is a very easy plant to grow! It is very difficult to over water. It's not a slow grower, which many people will thoroughly appreciate. It can grow in a variety of potting media. It can handle a lot of strong lighting. The lighting is like that for Vandas.
Temperature tolerant. I've grown this outdoors all its life, all year round - 36 F - 100 F.
In nature it is a lithophyte, possibly an epiphyte on occasion.
Simple, simple, simple. No complicated twists or turns to grow. Perfect for a beginner.
I've grown it in bark just fine. I've grown it in straight up moss just fine. I've grown it in a mixture of SuperSphag and perlite just fine. I'm currently growing it in a mixture of SuperSphag and pumice. I think it can even grow in straight up pumice! I've grown it in an opaque plastic pot. I currently have it in a clear plastic pot. It simply does not matter! If it is healthy, it will find a way to grow!!!
I've dropped it and injured a few of the pseudobulbs a couple times, and it doesn't matter. It's been through wind storms and rain storms, no problems!
This one is a soldier!
