Rowan: where did you get yours from and have you received it yet? Thanks in advance.

Mine's from Schwerter in Germany. Cernua and picta are not listed on their website, but Camille found out about the cernua, so I ended up asking about the picta... Cernua is 12.95 and estimated 6-12 months of flowering. Picta is teeny tiny in a 3cm pot! But basically Schwerter was the one that could fill my 'most wanted' list at good prices.

Only ordered today, so should hopefully get it end of next week.

I believe Camille is also ordering from Schwerter, so she could get one...

PS: Großräschener have picta in flower... but I wouldn't have been able to get so much for my money from there!

I did order from Schwerter, and seriously thought about the picta. But when I saw that they had Den aberrans that has been on my wishlist a long time , the Den won the spot in the box!

Okay, Philip, you've done such a fantastic public-relations job for this species that I've decided to order a few different varieties of it from Andy's Orchids. Your plant and its blooms look really cool--and hopefully it is, as you've stated, a better buy than the vaunted Max. tenuifolia, which is flowering for me for the first time ever, even though I've done nothing differently this year than any other to get this stubborn mule of an orchid to flower (I will, however, grudgingly admit that it does have a decent scent)!

Steve, since you have some going to you, I'll let them do the talking from here on out. All I'll say is, you won't be disappointed.

I agree about Philips PR job!! also, Steve Lucky you have your Max T flowering!!! I thought I might have a bloom but the nubbin is looking like a root oh well, I shouldn't complain at least it's growing...
I have been 'told off' for spending too much $ on orchids!
So I'm now waiting for a summer project.... : it happens as it's the ONLY excuse I'll get...

Nenella, I wish I knew what I (inadvertently) did to get the tenuifolia to bloom. It's actually been blooming for the last month, with several flowers opening at a time. I really have no idea why it's decided to flower now--perhaps it's getting ready to die!
