Keeping in mind I'm a beginner with orchids, I have one that I bought a couple of months ago. I noticed the other day that what looks like roots are pushing out from underneath the brown parts underneath an upper bulb. So there are, or can be, roots up there.
To my surprise, while creating an inventory of my plants, it seems I have this species! It's potted and not very large.
Given its growth habit, wouldn't it be better to grow this plant mounted where it can ramble and sprawl all over the mount?
Anyone growing that way?
It loves water. This is a species that is extremely difficult to over water, but very easy to under water. I probably wouldn't advise mounting this one unless you have an environment with very high humidity and can water it quite often with copious amounts of H2O.
