Oh I didn't read the second page. I suppose it's not that big. Why is the variation of the color though...Maybe some cultural factor.

@Libo...I am a Theater Light Designer...I work off-broadway in performances...I will not do good on Wall Street.

*the variation of the color of the blooms are natural to Zygos as well as the monochromatic hues. As the flower gets older it also changes into a darker shade, but the fragrance is still there.
This is a compact plant not as large as the regular Zygos...

Thanks for clearing it up, Bud. A nice career you've got there! I am older than you and I still haven't start any real career development yet... How I wish I could just live on orchids...Sadly, they just burned my pocket Lot's of blooms for me lately but too busy to take any pictures. Haven't been on orchid board for a while, even. Glad yo see your plants doing so well. How many orchid do you have already?

I have maybe over a hundred and some...I traded them or was given to me...I have only a few I bought since orchid specimens are expensive here...the seedlings seem cheap but it takes years to grow them and sometimes things happen so I rather have the older previously bloomed orchids because they are already well established.
You can have a career in orchids. You either invest on a greenhouse and start retailing/wholesaling your plants...or create a lab where you do flasking and advertise online so people can send you their pods for a fee...and so on and so forth...

It's hard to imagine you build your collection that way. I must have spent thousands of dollars on them. I am aware of the ways of making orchid money but before I get a green card...(vicious green card...)I am tied up to chemistry business. I guess I should trade more. Easier to get rid of duplicated or overgrown plants as well.

Where did you trade your orchid? In a society or online with the forum friends?

I exchange orchids with people here in the forum, some give me extra orchids they have out of kindness...
you need not spend thousands to be a windowsill grower...
I have to update my list ... some of the orchids listed are given away or no longer in my posession...my mother when she visits me takes whatever orchid is in bloom and I forget to remove it from the list...I have to rescue whatever is in her house ...she has a tendency to kill them
