No winter rest, just inside under lights.

I just purchased a small specimen of this orchid at (drum roll please) Lowes! Usually they only have abused phals for sale but I got lucky and found something else! I also managed to pick up an Encyclia cordigera, another orchid I'm unfamiliar with.

The one I have is quite spindly and has maybe 4 very small pbs...hope I have good luck with mine as you have with yours!

Cheers!

I'm really surprised so many have a difficult time blooming these. I've owned and sold probably 100 of these and they bloom reliably in March every year. I have grown them dry, wet, cold, hot, with little light and will lots of light, I fertilize infrequently (as in when I remember) and the outcome is the same. It was why I brought a division with me to Canada. I just figured they were like Phiaus tankervilliae and just knew when to bloom.
