Lycaste aromatica the survivor
I had this plant when it was going dormancy last year. I set it down on the floor of my greenhouse and left the door open..uh oh, big mistake, my terrier ate/chewed/bit most of the psuedobulbs and on top of it, I forgot to spray fungicide or coat it with cinnamon....and fast forward 8 months and ta-da!
ps: you can still see the chump marks! damn dogs! =)

It's very beautiful!. It's one of my favorites I just can't get enough of the smell! Always got to be careful with pets. My guinea pig chewed some Phals to pieces when I accidently placed the bucket they were soaking in on the floor.

several years ago, I had a fox terrier who "happened" upon my only Lyc aromatica at that time. The Lycaste is still alive and flowering annually

Can your terrier chew up a bunch of my orchids? Beautiful blooms.

It certainly didn't seem to mind being a chew toy! Look at all those blooms!
I'm glad this is such a tough species. I just got one this summer.

Great plant! This species is a lifelong favorite of mine. What's the attraction of terriers to Lycastes?
