Lycaste macrophylla
This is the first bloom for me and as you can see not only does it have three more flowers to open, there is a new pseudo bulb growing amongst the flowers!

The larger one maybe another week to 10 days but the smaller buds at least two weeks. I'm most impressed that there is a new pseudo bulb growing at this time of the year and the plant is flowering!

I have one Lycaste Lycaste brevispatha x matagrossensis it loses it's leaves .Smells musty when in bloom ..
I like yours better ...

Hey Gin, I saw the picture you posted 12/10/2010 elsewhere and I like yours very much. The color is great and the lip is especially nice! When it gets too musty for you, it has home here in my greenhouse.
