Max. Tenufolia Help?
Default Max. Tenufolia Help?

Last night I decided to save this from Lowe's, excited that I had found something new.
I knew it wasn't in excellent shape, but I didn't know how bad it really was...

So, I got home and pulled it out, first thing.
It's in pretty ugly condition.

The question is:
Does it look like it can be saved?
- If so, I'd love tips on ways to nurse it back.
Otherwise I might try returning it to the store.

Are there any green bulbs on it? Hard to tell in the pic, but they look all brown. Looks like the leaves are going brown as well. As for the roots, how do they feel? Is there anything firm and plump?

IMO, from these pics it looks like the plant is on the brink of death. Do you have any closer up pics of it?

I'm afraid I agree with Camille, from what I can see it does not look good.

One thing to note is that these guys have roots that can look pretty dead even when they are not. I bought one of these in the summer and was warned about the look of the roots first.

Test them to see if they seem hollow/papery rather than firm. Firm roots are good.

But if there are no green bulbs there is not much chance for it unfortunately.
