Carl, cruent's blooms are very fragrant. Your nose will tell you when a large plant's in bloom before the flowers are ever in sight.

Thanks for the reference, Steve! I just opened my box from Hausermann's. I ordered a 3.5" and a 4" pot. I received a 5" and a 6" pot.
I was hoping for at least one pot to be in bud/flower. I planned to give away one in flower at a Show this weekend. No luck. Both plants are leafless, budless, flowerless.
Win some/lose some.
I WIN!!

Very nice! They still might flower, especially at that size. I have one plant that's only now beginning to show tiny spikes forming deep down within the old dry leaf sheaths. And I would definitely not give either of those plants away. Go swing by Meijer and pick up one of the billion or so unnamed phal hybrids that they always have on display for your give-away.

At this size, I expect the larger one to flower. My only negative observation, the smaller of the two was nearly saturated on arrival.

One of their growers may have watered it by mistake. But that doesn't mean that it's doomed. I would put it in a warm area where it can get lots of sunlight.

I put it outside yesterday afternoon. Outside it goes again, as soon as the temp soars above 50F!
