Default Maxillaria grandiflora

Here's my Maxillaria grandiflora in bloom now. Only two flowers, but I would feel rewarded even with just one. I have two plants of this species that I grow outside the shade house along with my Max. sanderiana, my Draculas and Masdevallias. It hasn't been easy to keep the Maxillarias free from fungal diseases, but this year they are better than before and I had one flower from Max. sanderiana and now two from Max. grandiflora

It's very nice. I love how the gold lip contrasts with the white parts of the flower.

Gorgeous bloom--such a pristine white. I'm looking for another Maxillaria. How big is the plant?

Mine does! It's a fresh apricot smell, though you have to bring your nose to it. It doesn't spread around.

Cheers,

Stan
