It's beautiful, Beto. Is this a deciduous species, or does it retain its leaves all year long? What is the fragrance like? Congratulations.

It's a gorgeous plant. I love the shape and color of the blooms.

I haven't smelled it personally, but I hear that it has a heavy wintergreen fragrance.

Hi Steve

The plant change the leaves when the pseudobulb is mature.... new leaves, new flowers ( two for pseudobulb)
The fragrance.... is dificult to describe a fragrance.... do you know BENGAY??? it smell a little like this cream...

It´s a plant with big leaves... The flower like a long lasting tulip... I love your avatar is a pescatoria isn´t it??? I love Bolleas .... now are part of pescatoreas... are beautifull, I have the Hirtzii and the ecuadorana... Lovelly...

Yes, it's a Bollea lawrenceana. One of my favorite orchids.

I still call them Bolleas. In my opinion, the flowers are different enough to warrant distinction.
