Hi Francesco,
as I mentioned before I thought it was sweet... um maybe a tiny bit like coconut & baby/talcum powder?...

I will let you know as it is actually in bud now.

I moved it into bark in a net pot and it has grown well but only has one bud when it can have two blooms from each new growth so that's a bit disappointing.

Might be lack of fertiliser or not moist enough in bark, or something else as I moved it to a totally new area- the side of my house next to the fence that I have enclosed and put all my cool/intermediate plants mostly pleurothallidinae and oncidinae. I might end up putting it back in the sphagnum.

Oh and the stinkyness of B. echinolabium- it did flower last year and I made a post in my blog (that seriously needs some more of my attention lol): with photos
Pleurothallidinae

Regards
Damian.

Make sure the plant's getting enough air circulation. From my experience, members of this group of orchids grow better with good air circulation. They don't do much in stagnant conditions.
