Bifrenaria tyrianthina
Here's my Bifrenaria tyrianthina in bloom. I have maybe three or four species, but Frederico is the true master of this genus.

I like that soft pink color. The blooms have a nice shape, too.

Yes, they remind me of lycaste flowers also, Mauro. Your plant's blooms are fantastic, and much better than those that my tyrianthina produces. My plant produces unattractive dark purple blooms that are not shaped very well--and their scent (unlike harrisoniae's) is terrible. Congratulations on your beautiful flowers.

Steve, in fact the scent of tyrianthinas is something like "old flowers", but its far from "terrible"! Try the Bifr tetragona's scent! You'll smell an admixture of "metal", "garlic" and "dead rat" - THIS is terrible!!

a beautifull tyrianthina !!! I got one too , it is growing 3 new pseudobulbs.
does bifenarias require a spetial dry rest before it blooms?
