Yes, I bought three seedlings and this is the first to flower. Not as flat as I'd like, but it's the color I was hoping for. I'll get to see more of this type of breeding at the Tokyo Dome show in February!

Lucky you! I wish I could make it to the Tokyo show...I hear it might not be around for long. Oh well, please take a lot of picture for us! Especially the lycastes .

Beautiful flower. The only Lyc I have is Takagamine (Chita Melody 'Star Fire' x Sunrise 'Ena'). I was told that Cal-Orchids was a good source for Lyc but can't find them listed on their website. Jim Rose from Cal-Orchids spoke at our society meeting Sunday but I couldn't attend. I'd really love to get into Lyc more... so for now I'll just enjoy yours.

Howard - Cal-Orchid does sell these Lycastes. You'll need to contact them for availability. They probably don't list them on their website because of the limited amount of seedlings they get from Japan.
