Default Maxillaria grandiflora

I got this from Ecuagenera three years ago. I knew it was a cold lover but decided to try it anyway taking into account that I can grow some cold Draculas. Now, finally, it is in bloom! What an amazing Maxillaria I must say! The name couldn't be more appropriate! Lightly fragrant too!

Gorgeous, great growing Mauro.

Do you take any special steps to keep it cool enough?

Yes, Rosie, I keep it outside, hanging from a large Macadamia tree branch. The shadow is heavy, all the light it receives is reflected light from the ground, the air movement is constant. Under this tree temperature is always at least 5-7ºC lower than nearby during the hot days .
