Maxillaria tenuifolia
Hard to believe this was just 3 small severely dessicated cuttings from a failed mounting attempt only a year and a half ago. Today's bloom count is 23 in these pics plus at least thirteen unopen buds!

I just have it in sphagnum moss in a small plastic pot inside a larger pot for support and try to keep it evenly moist in very bright light. In fact, it goes outside soon in fully exposed conditions. You can see a sun spot on one of the p'bulbs from putting it out in the sun without first aclimating it.
I hope you enjoy your plant as much as I do mine. I know of no easier, tougher, rewarding, fast growing, awesomely scented, confidence inspiring orchid! The flowers are very cool looking too!

I just love tenuifolia! I thought mine was growing fast, but yours is going to shoot through the roof! And what an incredible flower count!
I recently repotted mine into sphag with a little CHC to keep it open. Hopefully that will make it happier and it will grow faster like yours.

I just ordered this one. I have the variabilis, but I want this one too. I am loving Max's. It took me a while to figure out what they want, but now it's growing very well. Not like yours though!

My little seedling is doing decidedly nothing at the moment I need to show it your pics and say this is what you are meant to do! maybe mine isnt moist enough I have it in bark and let it dry out between waterings.
